My VPC created Vista VM doesn't work on Hyper-V

I have a Vista VM that was created with Virtual PC 2007.  When I try to use it on a Server 2008 machine with Hyper-V, the integration services will not install.  This was making me crazy!  Of course I thought about rebuilding the VM, but there's a better way!  Check out

The VMBus device does not load on a virtual machine that is running on a Windows Server 2008-based computer that has Hyper-V installed

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/954282

This says that Windows Vista and Server 2008 are not detecting the HAL for Hyper-V properly.

This sounded like my problem and once I followed the 7 simple steps, reinstalled the VM Additions for Hyper-V again, I was back in business!  Check this out if you are having problems getting your Vista and Server 2008 VM's created in Virtual PC to run in Hyper-V.

Until next time!
